The Local Area

Hillcairnie is ideally situated for Fife's golf courses/driving ranges and we are only 10 miles from the famous St Andrews Old Course. Other activities are horse riding, cycling, and fishing. A 15 minute drive will give you access to the lovely beaches and on the East Neuk Coast water sports are available. The town of Cupar is just 3 miles away and holds a Farmers Market every other Saturday.

There is a leisure/sports centre and large parks in the town. Cupar has bus and railway links to many towns and Cities across Scotland. Edinburgh is 40 miles (with airport links), Dundee 18 miles (London airport links). We are close to Craigsanquhar House Hotel (3 miles), Fernie Castle Hotel (6 miles) and Birkhill Castle (4.5 miles) all of which are popular wedding/event venues.

Our neighbouring Farm, Cairnie Fruit Farm and Mega Maze is a popular attraction, also nearby is the Scottish Deer Centre/Raptor World, Fyfeoffroad (off road driving), Fife Animal Park. The annual Fife Show is held in Cupar, which is a traditional agricultural show.
